Hoyt Recurve Bow

The Versatile Hoyt Bow - A Bow For Any Serious Competitor Or Hunter
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Zach_Thomas]Zach Thomas
The Hoyt bow is the most popular of all bows for those who hunt and those who compete. Hoyt is one of the best available on the market - fast to use and very quiet too. Apparently most bow shooting competitions have been won by those who use Hoyt bows. Try one yourself and you will possibly realize why.
Hoyt uses what is known as "split limb" technology. Thus they are quieter - as mentioned, lighter to use too, and produce very little vibration. Having a light-weight bow is particularly useful if you hunt - much easier to carry for longer distances.
Split limb is better than solid limb technology that is common among other bow manufacturers, because its more durable. Solid limb have a tendency to crack around the v-groove, just where the cam is mounted. Cracks also tend to appear just where the limb mounts up to the riser.
It has been shown in tests that solid limb technology tends to fair at around the 25 dry fire mark. For split limb this increases massively to about 1000 dry fires. The weak point of the v-groove is eliminated in the split limb thus its hugely increased durability.
Hoyt bows also utilize vibration-reduction technology. Their TEC design has the capability to reduce low-frequency vibration and the bows ringing vibration is also reduced by Hoyt's Riser Shox technology. For those of us who are not aware of how vibration reduction is important - if shooting repeatedly then bow vibration has a tendency to reduce the user's comfort.
So what do Hoyt offer in terms of bow types? The compound bow - have a look at the new ultra light and ultra fast 2009 AlphaMax 32, which offers brand new technology for the serious hunter. It weighs only 3.9lbs. The limb and pocket technologies have both been revamped as has the cam and riser. One very serious bow for the serious hunter!
Hoyt offer around 20 different compound bows, which includes a youth bow too. There are two hunting recurve bows also and a further 5 competition recurve bows with a variety of limbs to suit your needs.
I suggest if you are serious about your bow or are becoming more serious, have a look at the Hoyt range. There is something available for all serious bow hunters and competitors.
